NEGATIVE CONFESSION
Welcome to 14/03 and the NEGATIVE CONFESSION NEVER TO UTTER is in Numbers 14:3
“And wherefore hath the LORD brought us unto this land,to fall by the sword, that our wives and our children should be a prey? Were it not better for us to return to Egypt?”
On the verge of entering the promised land, the Lord asked Moses to send twelve spies ahead to bring good tidings of the land of promise. Unfortunately,ten of the spies brought evil reports of the promised land that made the whole of Israel cry and murmur against Moses and Aaron-“And all the congregation lifted their voice, and cried, and the people wept that night. And all the children ofIsrael murmured against Moses and Aaron”vs 1,2a
Beyond weeping and murmuring, they spoke negatively about the Lord and themselves becoming prey-“and the whole congregation said unto them,Would God that we had died in the land of Egypt! Or would God we had died in this wilderness! And wherefore hath the LORD brought us unto this land,to fall by the sword, that our wives and our children should be a prey? Were it not better for us to return to Egypt?”
Their negative confessions made them incur the wrath of God as their journey to the promised land was prolonged by forty years until everyone who confessed negatively was wasted in the wilderness -“Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the LORD, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you:Your carcasses shall fall in this wilderness; and all that were numbered of you,according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward,which have murmured againstme"vs 28,29
🟡 Negative confession is saying things that contradict what God had said in his Word.
Anegative confession is saying things that God did not say.
🟡 Negative confession will make you incur the anger and wrath of God no matter who you are.
🟡 A negative confession will make your negative utterance become a tragic reality.
🟡 Negative confession will prolong your journey in the wilderness and frusrate you from possessing your promised land.
🟡 Negative confession will always be used against you except you repent and reverse it with positive confession.
PRAYER: O Lord deliver me from negative confessions and all their consequences by making me addicted to positive divine confessions in Jesus name.
NEVER CONFESS POSITIVELY BUT ALWAYS CONFESS POSITIVELY!
