NEGATIVE FRIENDSHIP
Welcome to 13/03 and the NEGATIVE FRIENDSHIP TO AVOID is in 2 Samuel 13/03-
“But Amnon had a friend, whose name was Jonadab, the son ofShimeah David's brother: and Jonadab was a very subtle man.”
Amnon was the first son of David who should have been the next king of Israel after his father. He had a sexual lust for his half-sister called Tamar- “And Amnon was so vexed, that he fell sick for his sister Tamar; for she was a virgin, and Amnon thought it hard for him to do anything to her. Amnon had a friend named Jonadab which the Bible called a subtle man who gave him terrible advice on how to lure Tamar into his house and rape her to satisfy his sexual lust.
He took his friend's advice, pretended to be sick and told David his father to send Tamar to wait on him, and he ended up raping Tamar. This action of Amnon made him incur the deadly anger of Absalom,Tamar's elder brother who plan to take revenge for his sister. After two years, Absalom executed his deadly plan by killing Amnon in cold blood. Amnon died from Absalom revenging his dastardly and bastardly acts of raping Tamar from the terrible advice of his friend. Amnon died before his father and lost the chance of becoming the next king of Israel.Jonadad that gave him the terrible advice did not die with him.He faced the consequence alone.

🟡Friends are there to encourage or discourage you from carrying out dastardly or destiny acts.
No matter the advice of friends, the buck stops at your table to do that which will make or mar your glorious destiny.
No matter the advice of friends, you have the right to agree or disagree to avoid a tragic end.
No matter the advice of friends, you have the best friends in the Holy Spirit and Holy Scriptures for your final actions.
Your friends can have their say but let the words of God and the voice of the Holy Spirit have their way.
PRAYER: O Lord deliver me from negative friends,lusts,advice, and actions that can frustrate my glorious destiny in Jesus name.
